Visit our newest project page with updated information and event listings for [...] PECO Crown Lights display Check out PECO’s Crown Lights display tonight (July 4th) and every first Friday of the month for the rest of the year to see digital art created by artists living in the Philadelphia/Tri-State region. Breadboard is partnering with PECO to create – ART IN THE AIR – a new digital arts initiative [...] Breadboard is developing a digital art project for a large LED screen –> 2 million LED lights. This project will launch in July, 2010. This is an early pre-call for digital artists who would like more information about the project. Artists must reside in the Tri-State Area (PA, NJ, DE) Please email breadboard-at-sciencecenter-dot-org // subject: Digital Art More [...] A nice review of Nowhere Fast by Edith Newhall in the Philadelphia Inquirer, though we beg to differ that “complex, chart-like pieces [are] something of a fixture” at EKG. Not that there’s anything wrong with complex, chart-like pieces . . . Note: Last five exhibits sans chart-like pieces.

The Bent Festival is an annual art and music festival celebrating DIY electronics, hardware hacking, and circuit bending. The 2010 Bent Festival will take place at 81 Front Street in Dumbo (Brooklyn, NY), April 22-24, 2010. The festival space has been generously donated by [...] Nowhere Fast : Jordan Griska will be on view at EKG from April 23rd through June 25th, 2010. An opening reception for the artist will be held on Friday, April 23, 5-8pm at EKG, 3600 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA. There will also be an open house event at NextFab Studio, across the street at 3711 Market St. For more information [...] This Fall (2010) EKG will be exhibiting new work by David Bowen. David’s Growth Modeling Device is currently featured in Design by Performance at Centrum voor actuele kunst en vormgeving Z33 in Hasselt, Belgium.
